1）粉塵非常含量特別高。相對于美國燃煤電廠，中國燃煤電廠由于煤質和鍋爐工藝原因，煙氣中粉塵量通常高達20g/m3-50g/m3，相當數量的電廠粉塵量高達50g/m3以上。而美國電廠的粉塵量通常在10g/m3以下。
2）煙氣溫度高。煙氣溫度通常在350℃到400℃，這也是SCR催化劑的工作溫度。
3）煙道為1cm的厚鋼板矩形結構，通常對于一個350MW機組，煙道為A和B雙煙道布置，矩形界面的長和寬通常為10米和5米。鍋爐負荷的變化會導致煙氣溫度、壓力和流量的變化，這種矩形鋼板結構的煙道會產生相應的形變。
| | |氨逃逸率檢測難點分析：
由于火電廠的實際運行工況，煙道環境復雜，氨逃逸的特性，測量系統等問題，這些因素都增大了氨逃逸測量的難度，總結來說存在如下問題和檢測難點：
1）煙氣粉塵太大的問題氨逃逸的分布不均是造成空氣預熱器堵塞的主要原因之一。原因來自噴氨噴嘴的故障以及噴嘴分布，也有來自催化劑層的安裝不嚴密，導致煙氣沒有通過催化劑層而進入下游煙道。逃逸氨分布不均的嚴重情況是一兩米的間隔逃逸氨相差幾倍。無論是對射式激光表的平均濃度還是單點抽取式都不能很好的反映真實的氨逃逸分布，從而給SCR的噴氨優化造成困難。
